Wearing a mask or face covering can be uncomfortable, but this is a necessary step to ensure we can save lives and keep our economy open. We wear masks to protect our loved ones, those around us, and their loved ones. Mayor Lucas’s updated Order goes into effect on Monday. #KCMO

And this is why. Note. Mask rule applies to indoor establishments where you’re not keeping six feet of social distance. Not that hard of a rule to roll with. We just want to keep you and all around you safe.

We're recommending that classes start on Sept. 8 with distance learning, and then we move to different phases of in-person learning over time if it's safe to do so. Our goal is to be back at 100 percent in-person learning. We miss seeing our students in our school buildings!

Wondering whether you should require students to turn on their videos during virtual class meetings? Here's an infographic to help you rethink that idea #remoteteaching #edtech #isteten #remotelearning

Senator, those of us here in Missouri aren’t concerned about Pennsylvania. We’re worried about our families, our communities, our health. Stop the charade. It’s gone on too long. It’s impacted lives today. It’s tearing apart our country.

If Mayors, Governors, and President Biden want ALL school age children back in school ‘right now,’ immediately provide Covid-19 vaccine for all teachers and educational staff. Treat educators with the respect they deserve.

We spent time testifying to the state legislature today regarding school funding and school choice in Missouri. Did you know KCPS outperforms almost half of the charter schools in Kansas City? We do. We are on the rise - join us in the pursuit of achievement for all KCPS kids.
