Day 23 #30DaysWild - my eye caught sight of this yellow toadflax from the 14th tee Dunbar Golf Club - because the flower is quite closed by its lip it requires bigger #pollinators such as bees. It’s a species widespread on dunes, disturbed and cultivated ground in Europe.

Day 24 #30DaysWild - occasionally travel and back to back meetings still take over which means no outdoor time today although I have passed through amazing parts of Scotland’s east coast which are so rich for coastal and marine wildlife - #viewfromthetrain

Day 25 of #30DaysWild - good meetings at James Hutton Institute & a walk around the exciting building works at our Craigiebuckler campus. Travel home provided a bit of time to look at some recent #seabird photos including #gannets diving #mayhem #birds

Day 26 #30DaysWild - the #muteswans around Dunbar Golf Club have had their young quite late. The #cygnets were scrabbling over the rocks in pursuit of their parents today. #bird #birds #wildlife #nature #EastLothian

Day 27 #30DaysWild - one of the nicest lanes in #Dunbar - the wild flowers in the backlands add a splash of colour and are alive with #pollinators. Maintained by the social enterprise - the Ridge. #urbanwildlife #greenspace #community

Day 28 #30DaysWild - thanks 🙏🏻 to @janeinnb.bsky.social for spotting the “mint humbugs” aka #shelduck chicks off Dunbar Golf Club ⛳️ this week. Went for a dawdle to see them although they’re keeping their distance from the shore ⬇️

It’s always nice to pick your own vegetables 🫛. Our wee plot in the corner of the garden is doing quite well so far this year with the lettuce, peas and cauliflowers putting on a good spurt. #growyourown #EastLothian

Enjoyable round Craigielaw Golf Club today - first time I’d played there and thought it was in very good condition. Challenging bunkers if you mishit your shot and some awkward pin positions. It was hot for golf ⛳️ #scottishgolf #golfcoast #eastlothian #golfing
