Cool that they interviewed Ivan Calderon for this piece. The irony is that Calderon could hardly ever get on tv when he was fighting.

Vayson buzzes Collazo in the second. If Collazo does have a flaw it’s that he’s one of those guys who gets much better as the fight progresses.

I think Collazo’s issue in this fight is that he’s throwing too many punches. Vayson has lots of openings and opportunities to counter. Collazo is actually making the fight more difficult than it needs to be. His hyper-aggression is working against him.

Vayson’s corner stops the fight for no particular reason. Really competitive fight up until that point. He wasn’t particularly hurt or in danger when the fight was stopped.

Well, it was a good fight, but it will be overshadowed by that ending. Not Collazo’s best performance whatsoever. Determined to brawl even though he’s skilled enough that he didn’t have to.
