On Friday, I joined members of the public and health and social care colleagues at the 10 Year Health Plan National Summit. It was a chance for people to share reflections on the conversation so far and their priorities for change before the engagement phase closes.

"i wouldn't want to see health and social care merged" - Wes Streeting remarkably clear on this topic, saying the two overlap but are best managed separately. Where many have have preferred to seek integration of funding and delivery model a la Andy Burnham

I have no idea what goes on in the rest of North Lincs Council but the person in the link here is a reablement worker, providing short term #socialcare. It is crucial and cost effective support for older people and those with disabilities.

You can read NHS fall it various ways - is it simply other issues have become more pressing, or are people seeing improvements in the NHS which make them feel less concerned - or both - anecdotally from focus groups people's NHS stories seem markedly less bad compared to 2023/4,

It makes me think the two child cap is a classic of the Tony Blair 3 second, 30 second, 3 minute polling fallacy The 3 second poll response lightening response is back the cap - don't have more children than you can afford... But the 30 second reflection becomes is this fair on

Talking of the NHS 10 Year Plan, there will be a team of people who will have worked nearly every second of this weekend, and ridiculous hours these last few weeks. If they had Glasto tickets they won't have gone. You're nearly there, folks! (Sally)
