As thousands of us graduated last week, we remember & honour the 90,000 students in Gaza who have been stripped of this opportunity, universities destroyed & displaced, many students killed & injured. We cannot be silent while Lancaster University remains complicit! 🇵🇸 #FreePalestine
Thanks, Sociologists in Solidarity with Palestinians, for organizing this important event. It's hard to believe that it has been a year since the genocide in Gaza began, and yet the killing continues daily. Nonetheless, I look forward to joining fellow scholars who stand unwaveringly with Palestine and Gaza.
Seeing this fills me with horror & sadness, & makes me think of my colleague Ala Sirriyeh 🇵🇸's important piece in @TheSocReview magazine '‘Why are the soldiers hurting Palestinian children?’ Parenthood, identity and culture during genocide'. A must read. thesociologicalreview.org/magazine/june-…

When University of St Andrews cannot justify its dismissal of Rector Stella Maris, it asks BRISMES to agree to disagree. I guess University of St Andrews will now have to meet European Legal Support Center (ELSC) in the court.
Please join us for a conversation with UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese, UN Special Rapporteur oPt on the unfolding genocide in Gaza and the role of international law. Location Queen Mary University of London Mile End Campus, November 12, from 14-16. Registration ➡️tinyurl.com/3s76p84b
