Delighted to see that we have contributed the largest HSCP dataset Beaumont Hospital to the National Office of Clinical Audit National Stroke Audit 2023 📈 Beaumont Neuroscience Physio

2/ This report helps shine a light on the gaps in stroke rehab delivery nationally with just 47% of patients receiving sufficient Physiotherapy (42% OT, 53% SLT).

3/ For patients with more severe/complex disability, we know from local audit that the amount of therapy they receive is often much less than this national average…. Complex stroke rehab requires greater no. of therapists to treat (+more time +/- a full fat coke on occasion😂)

4/ If just one person is on annual leave… these patients lose out!

5/ But not just stroke requires further HSCP investment… The National Stroke Audit captures about 50% of the responsibilities of our stroke physiotherapy team. Don’t forget the stroke mimics, FND, vestibular, outliers, support to other services etc.

6/ These patient groups also deserve access the best practice care 🏥👩🏻‍⚕️🧑‍⚕️
