I have dyslexia and was always falling behind in school, except for in drama. Dyslexia affects an estimated 1.2 million children in the UK ( 1 in 10). I've taught drama to many with dyslexia and watched them shine. Dyslexia is another reason to teach more drama in schools.

One of my favourite ways to use #thinkingclassroom is learning phonemes. Ss write as many words as they can think of with a certain sound (here it is the long a) and then show which letters make the sound, then we consolidate by Ss explaining all the possible letter combos
