Congratulations to everyone who submitted a poster for the competition run by National Numeracy Day. It was fantastic to receive so may entries. You thought of lots of creative ideas about how you will use maths in your future jobs and hobbies.

The Nursery children enjoyed digging for worms with Ms Clark. They found mummy, daddy, baby and granny. They made sure to put the worms back into the soil after observing them.

We planted lots of herbs and tulips in EYFS this week. We look forward to observing them grow!

Exploring textures and smells in EYFS. The children have really enjoyed exploring the jelly this morning.

We took advantage of the sunshine in EYFS and set up a car wash role play outside. The children enjoyed washing the cars, bikes and trikes!

At lunch time, the reception children asked “Ms McBride, how do you make jelly?” So we made jelly! We discussed how to be safe when cooking with hot items and how the jelly begins as a solid in powder form, then a liquid when we add water and then into a solid.
