Working with children’s fitness and testing specialists Fitmedia Fitness has enabled us to monitor the impact of our work with more granularity. We are delighted with the results! The headline figures are shown here, and Fitmedia’s full report is available on request.

The Lynx programme is also designed to increase members’ mental wellbeing. Monitoring by Fitmedia Fitness shows that 63% of children improved their wellbeing during their first year at Lynx, with particular increases in their self-esteem and confidence in meeting new people.

Stick Winners 🏑🙌🏼🏑 An incredible 24 children were awarded their very own Y1 Hockey sticks today. They have all attended every session this season! So impressed by their commitment. Congrats everyone and huge thanks to Y1 Hockey for their continued support, six years in 🙏

This Sunday will be Emmanuel’s 10th week at Spencer Lynx and he’ll therefore be awarded his own Y1 Hockey stick to keep. Exciting!!

At the end of the two year Lynx programme we encourage our members to join a mainstream club. 72 former Lynx members have done so, the majority joining Spencer. We love to see our former members continuing to enjoy their hockey, make new friends and develop their skills #legacy

Darius performed best in our recent agility tests and had improved the most since the tests were first conducted in Sept 23. Agility is key for participation in most physical activity and it also helps children move better, preventing long term injury. Well done Darius 🙌🏼

⚡️Exciting News⚡️ Our Ambassador Darcy Bourne is coming to see us again this weekend!! Fresh from her GB training camp in Spain, Darcy will be coaching both our U11 and U10 groups on Sunday. That’ll cheer everyone up after the frosty pitch disappointment last week 😀🏑🇬🇧🤩

Thank you to THD Phoenix for coming to our tournament yesterday. Despite the dreadful weather we enjoyed playing lots of hockey and putting into practice everything we’ve been learning over the past few weeks. Really impressed with some of the skills on display too 🤩🏑
