Very soon political candidates across Neath Port Talbot will begin their campaigns for the 2017 election, we will highlight their progress.

There are 42 electoral divisions in Neath Port Talbot and 64 County Borough Councillors. Do you know your councillor?

Problem of councillors finding time to campaign but maintain record of low attendance is not unique to one councillor or one party.

We hope that Neath Port Talbot Council publishes attendance records following election in May. Public need to be able to hold representatives to account.

But until then our team will continue looking through Council minutes to identify those with low attendance.

We are not party political. With the election fast approaching we feel it necessary to ask tough questions to elected representatives.

In fairness to the councillors we have grilled today, they have stood their ground and defended their position unlike some.
