"Biden Is Old" was the single biggest story in the country the first half of 2024. "Will Harris Answer Enough Questions?" has been one of the biggest for much of the second half. Trump saying no more questions then spacing out to music for a half hour did both things worse.

Fundamentally, this is it: if Biden’s age and decline was a crisis that merited wall-to-wall coverage in the Times and other outlets, for the good of America, why doesn’t Trump’s profound unfitness, criminality, assaults on the Constitution, and violent threats merit the same?

Every time he says this, it’s a reminder that jobs held by migrants (documented and undocumented) are the jobs that HE thinks Black Americans should be doing…

The fact that this election is close is forever a stain on America. How much of a stain, we’ll soon find out. But an authoritarian felon, sexual abuser, who already incited a violent mob to attack the Capitol in a failed plot to steal an election…should never have been viable.
