In 1847, ChoctawNationOK’s legislature appropriated funds for Irish famine relief (less than 10 yrs after US forced removal to Indian Territory). This morning, my son represented the Choctaw side of his family as we paid a morning visit to this quiet spot in Midleton.

This week, I’m with ASU Law’s Lodestar Dispute Resolution Center and Center for Law and Global Affairs as we team up in Switzerland. On Wednesday, we started at Lalive law firm for a discussion on Geneva as an international hub for Intellectual Property arbitration.

Today we’ll focus on how climate change is driving disputes and dispute resolution worldwide.

Kicking off the Geneva event on behalf of our three institutional partners. ASU Lodestar Center, Schiefelbein Global Dispute Resolution and the Geneva Center for International Dispute Settlement.

Productive meeting with a likeminded law dean at a school that also prioritizes technology + innovation to expand access and increased societal impact. Tilburg University, 1st law school in The Netherlands to offer online learning, albeit from a slightly greener campus.

ASU Law co-convened “Tech-Trust Nexus: Revolutionizing Online Dispute Resolution” with Tilburg University. Many thanks to LawProfs Art Hinshaw + Di Bowman (both wonderful Associate Deans) and Eleni Kosta, Professor of Technology Law and Human Rights at Tilburg.

Finishing up a great trip by making new connections in The Hague, along with my ASU Law colleagues. I look forward to the new law student opportunities and partnership that will follow.

So many gyms like this across Indian country and rural America. On a treadmill looking over this, naturally an ol’ baller runs a little faster. Thanks to Cherokee Nation employees and leaders, there’s a new fitness center under construction, but I’m going to miss this place.

Work + fun with my colleagues on AALS dean’s steering committee. This year I’m at 27 years as a lawprof + 14 years since my first lawdean gig. 4 weeks left to get in top fighting shape for the year ahead. Faculty looking at this: “Did she just say only 4 weeks left?” #True
