Students Jana, Ella & Lucy attended the Uberheroes Kindness Awards at Stormont Hotel on Saturday. The event celebrated kindness shown by young people in their schools, communities and for causes. Uberheroes & Hope4LifeNI

Lucy won the award in her category "Acts of Kindness & Equality Award" for her role as Campaign Champion for the Send My Friend organisation which raises awareness for global educational inequalities and works for action and for her work on a documentary on gender inequality.

Ella was nominated in the category of "Kindness through support/fundraising" and came 2nd and received a Highly Commended award! Jana also came 2nd in her category of "Acts of Kindness in the Community" for her work on racial equality activities with her youth club.

As part of this year's Send My Friend campaign the class delivered lessons to all Key Stage 3 students about this year's campaign Education in Emergencies. 222 million school-aged children are affected by emergencies including flooding, drought, cyclones, war, climate change . .

The campaign is calling upon the UK government to pledge their support to the Education Cannot Wait programme Send My Friend #LetMyFriendsLearn

-Support for 20 million children and adolescents with quality education -Support for 12 million girls with quality education -Support for 2 million children and adolescents with disabilities with quality education
