It’s always a joy to welcome Primary D&T to school. Yesterday, after working with Nursery to make shakers, Y6 got to work on their electric fairground rides, using their knowledge, skills & vocabulary developed across the years. We can’t wait to see their final products! 🤩

D&T workshop on freestanding structures using science & geography knowledge on what the user /animals need & map drawing skills to plan their designs. They learn joining techniques and lots of practical skills to build their zoo enclosures. Making them strong & stable. #PrimaryDT

After teaching this class D&T every year, St. Thomas CE Primary and Nursery School I was delighted with the outcomes from our last workshop. Well that's 9 pupil full day workshops Rimrose Hope complete. It's lovely to go back each year and continue their D&T journey. Each year, they build on the skills from the previous workshops and I can really see the progress of skills, knowledge and confidence #PrimaryDT
