New shoes couldn’t make it to the first event. If I cause this then that’s one thing. When someone steps on them that’s another! 😡

1. Letting Toxic People Stay Toxic people poison the culture from the inside-out. They lower morale, spread negativity, and block productivity. Removing them protects your culture and your team. "Losers assemble in little groups and complain about the coaches and the players."

XC runner Summer TO DO list: -get up and get out: run 6 days a week for at least 10 weeks -the best plan is the plan we all believe in: follow your coaches program -don’t be afraid to run hard: often running steady is easier than running slow or jogging because of form

Reminder: You are not behind if your team is still on a break from track/school or if state is this weekend. Memorial Day to Labor Day is arbitrary. Getting in 10-12 weeks of uninterrupted running can start at any point. And yes, it should still be the goal.

“There’s no question that 7k ft imposes almost double stress than does 5k ft because the real problems with altitude don’t begin until about 3k ft above sea level, so going from 5K to 7K is about the same as going from sea level to 5K” - from Daniels’ Running Formula

Just read the first 5 words and I was hype the tweet was from a HS cross country coach 😆. Fantasy football is cool too… just a bit early still.

Thought of the day… it’s pretty difficult to have your best fall cross country season ever if you aren’t willing to have your best summer of training ever.
