We are so excited to be celebrating #worldbookday2023 later this week. The children are invited to come to school on Friday dressed as a character from their favourite book - we can't wait to see their creations

Our Kingfishers class have been studying altitude this term and recently visited the roof terrace of Parade Green Halls of residence to get a better understanding of how high something is compared to the ground. They thoroughly enjoyed being out in the fresh air for a few hours!

Bringing to life our topic of Muck, Mess & Mixture with trips to George & Delila's and Pizza Express. We loved exploring how mixtures change in consistency when water is added, and what happens to ingredients when they are heated and cooled!

Look who arrived yesterday! Everyone has been making a fuss of this little one today. We didn’t want to frighten him/her so didn’t take too many photos. More to follow tomorrow. The children (and staff!) were so ridiculously excited this morning.

We start the new term with some wonderful news! One of our Year 5 girls took part in a sponsored cycle over the Easter break. She originally aimed to complete 20 miles but ended up completing 45.5 miles, and raised an incredible £510 for the National Autistic Society. Wow!

Yesterday, children in our Kingfishers enjoyed a fantastic trip to Shotover to help bring their topic of 'Beast Creator' to life. They carried out a minibeast hunt, enjoyed getting stuck in the mud and had great fun running down the hill in the Spring sunshine!

One group of intrepid St Francis explorers ventured into the Brecon Beacon's fascinating network of caves earlier today. Equipped with cave-suits, helmets and head lamps they were guided through a network of underground passages exploring the beauty of the subterranean world!

Fire fire!! Well thankfully not! Instead. Earlier this week we were visited by Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service who taught our KS1 children all about fire safety. A fun morning where the children got to explore a real fire engine and test out the fire hoses!
