This morning’s launch of NASA Sun & Space’s #ParkerSolarProbe was scrubbed. Launch teams will attempt to launch on Sunday morning. Get real-time updates: pscp.tv/NASA/1OyKAQoOL…

We just started the upload process for our new flight software to the STIX X-ray Telescope instrument at ESA Operations in Darmstadt. Solar Orbiter will fly in February 2020. Sh*t is getting real... #proud #excited #aaahhhhh Learn about STIX at stix.i4ds.net #spacehardware

We successfully uploaded our new flight software „made in Brugg-Windisch“ to STIX X-ray Telescope! FHNW Institute for Data Science Hochschule für Technik und Umwelt FHNW #wohoo #yeswecan #reachforthestars

Yes! We‘re back, baby. Soon we will start our NECP phase with our #firstlight. Big thanks to the ESA Operations and ESA's Solar Orbiter teams for this effort to get us (back) online!

Day one of my Near Earth Commissioning Phase 1 was a success. Now I am collecting data until tomorrow noon, when we‘ll continue looking at all my nooks and crannies. I am getting so much great support from ESA Operations, ESA's Solar Orbiter and the STIX team. Thank you all! 🚀🛰☀️

🌞While here in Potsdam the Sun often hides these days, we are happy that ESA's Solar Orbiter shows us #TheSunUpClose. More information about the AIP involvement STIX X-ray Telescope and the succesfully completed test of the entire instrument suite 👉bit.ly/SolarOrbiter_F…

#EOVSA observed in microwaves the same flare reported today by the Solar Orbiter X-ray Spectrometer/Telescope (STIX) team. The microwaves show the presence of high energy electrons. Compare the time profiles! #SolarOrbiter #TheSunUpClose STIX X-ray Telescope

What a wonderful visualization by the The New York Times on Space Exploration. ESA's Solar Orbiter is on it too! nyti.ms/3g3cW3T

For anyone at #AGU2020 and interested in high-energy solar investigations join in to SH056 today at 13:30 GMT! I’ll be presenting about The Micro Solar Flare Apparatus (MiSolFLA) - a proposed cubesat to fly spare Solar Orbiter STIX X-ray Telescope detectors! agu.confex.com/agu/fm20/meeti… 🚀

Last year, in April 2020, ESA Operations and the STIX team powered me up for the first time in Space and established first contact. A fantastic moment!🚀🛰️☀️

Good news everyone: I passed the thermal test at Universität Bern. Now the Caliste, my detectors, are being tested. I'll keep you posted!

I have been successfully delivered to #AIRBUS on July 12. Early August I will be mounted on Solar Orbiter. We've done it! #SoProud #GreatJob

After my delivery last summer, my identical twin, the STIX ground unit, is being built. Parts of the detector electronics are integrated at Hochschule für Technik und Umwelt FHNW right now! Pictures show the Caliste detectors (pics 1+2), the shutter (pic 3), and the grids (pic 4).
