A brilliant day at the Catenian Cup for our Y5/6 football team! They won their group in the morning and finished 4th overall in the tournament! Well done everyone ⚽️

What a lovely end to the day - a twilight play in Pannett Park then back to the hotel for hot chocolate, cookies and an end of the day reflection.

First challenge of the day - a 7 mile coastal walk from Robins Hood Bay to Whitby Abbey. Amazing perseverance and resilience from the children in the sunshine, rain and wind. Brilliant pupils!

We had a fascinating time hearing about the history of Whitby Abbey and exploring the ruins. Thank you Mr Shuttleworth for sharing such an interesting summary of its history since 700AD.

What a way to end the day. An evening trip to the beach. The freezing North Sea was no match for Team St Joseph’s! Then the absolute magic of seeing wild dolphins out at sea as we made our way back to the hotel.

Our final morning in Whitby - goodbye to our lovely hotel; The Lily Rose. No trip to the seaside is complete without a visit to the amusements and a final bit of shopping for the children, while staff had a well-earned coffee break.

Goodbye Whitby - you have been fantastic, but St Joseph’s Year 6 have been even better! Parents you are going to have some tired children. We have walked a long way over the past three days.

On Monday we made our Jubilee Pledge to Live Simply. We did this during our Exposition of The Blessed Sacrament and Benediction service which Deacon Gerry celebrated for us. The children processed with The Blessed Sacrament, prayed and sang with such reverence. It was so special
