Our Indoor Track team competed in the Eastern States Championships - the boys 4x800m relay team placed 1st and the boys 4x400m relay team placed 2nd! Both relay teams qualified for the New Balance Indoor National Championships! The girls also had a medal winner in the 2 mi run!

On February 28th, our faculty and staff gathered at the St. Thomas More Cathedral in Arlington for our annual retreat day. We two had talks by Dr. Johnathan Reyes and received a tour of the Cathedral highlighting its recent renovations!

Today we celebrate World Down Syndrome Day!

Earlier this month, a group of JP students participated in the West Point Leadership and Ethics Conference! Students met leaders from West Point to discuss leadership and ethical dilemmas and formulate solutions.

April is the Month of the Military Child! Students, faculty, and staff were invited to write the military branches their family members have served in or are serving in on a banner and take a blessed St. Michael the Archangel medal, who is the patron saint of the military!

We were blessed to be visited by Bishop Burbidge at the end of last month for his Spring visit! He celebrated Mass, visited classrooms, met with our Senior athletes signing to play sports in college, ate lunch with members of our Senior class, and stopped by the of Peter Pan!

Yesterday we celebrated Purple Up Day on which we showed support for military-connected students! JP’s Military Service Club, Student Ambassadors, and Military Family Ambassadors hosted a Military Child Appreciation Breakfast for our military-connected students and parents.

This past Wednesday after Mass, Sr. Mary Grace announced the Valedictorian and Salutatorian for the Class of 2025. The valedictorian is Giovanni Talavera and the salutatorian is Sophia Karako. congratulations to Giovanni and Sophia!

Congratulations to the JP Track and Field Teams who competed in the Virginia State Catholic Track and Field Championships at Paul IV High School this past Saturday, with the Boys Team taking home the Championship and the Girls Team finishing 2nd!

We are so proud of Chichi and all of her amazing accomplishments, wishing her the best as she attends the U.S. Naval Academy!
