Great to see some of our seabirds returning this last week or so, with Puffins on land and a few Bonxies flying high over Hirta. Here's hoping for a better season for them both after last year's #avianflu outbreak. #NTSseabirds

Great to welcome visitors back into Village Bay for the first time this season today. Couldn't have picked a better day for it either 😎

It's been a pretty special couple of days out here on #StKilda, all the more so with this distant sighting of a pod of 20-30 White-beaked Dolphins off Village Bay this evening! Hebridean Whale & Dolphin Trust

The Night Herons have definitely stolen the show today, but a trickle of other migrants over the last 2 days has included a Grasshopper Warbler, Siskin, Chiffchaff and Common Sandpiper. Plenty to keep the bins busy, and hopes of more to come 🫰 Outer Hebrides Birds BirdGuides

It was with great sadness that we heard of the death of George Thomson at the age of 99. George led many work parties to St Kilda and was president of the St Kilda Club until he had to step down in 2019. He will be sorely missed
