Today marks the end of an era as we cease supplying weather forecasts to the Archant group of newspapers, including titles such as the Eastern Daily Press and East Anglian Daily Times. We are sad to see the end of this long-standing relationship that spans more than 20 years.

Spectacular aurora tonight over the UK...these from Foxley, Norfolk. The first is straight out of the camera (iso 3200, 5 seconds, f1.8), the second is edited to show more what it looked like to the naked eye...one of the brightest displays I've seen here.

EAST: A potentially lively afternoon as a number of heavy showers and thunderstorms develop, most widespread late afternoon into the evening hours. Scope for very locally >50mm, but as you can see from these 4 models a lot of uncertainty about where. Use apps with caution! โ›ˆ๏ธ
