“if you’re not going to play football maybe you could write about it.” So I do A little bit older but not so worldly wise.

Northern Ireland’s 3-1 win in Luxembourg is only the 16th win in an away kit since beating the Republic of Ireland 1-0 in November 1979 and only the eighth in a competitive fixture. #Greenforgo

The official reason for moving this match was actually because trouble at the semi-final in the previous season resulted in Red Star being banned from playing within a certain distance of Belgrade. Given the situation in Yugoslavia the chances are it would have been moved anyway.

It’s difficult to put into words how sad I feel upon hearing this news. Jim was one of the most warm, welcoming and humble people I’ve ever met through football and was always hugely supportive. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
