Excited to share our latest paper led by Rachel Glenn. We generated a genetically diverse mouse pluripotent stem cell panel from the Diversity Outbred stock and outline experimental approaches for "population-scale" in vitro directed differentiation. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Why do most dopamine neurons die shortly after transplantation and how can we fix it? Excited to see our story out at Cell. Congrats to Taewan Kim & SoYeon Koo Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and to all the other collaborators who made this work possible. cell.com/cell/fulltext/…

Excellent thread from So Yeon Koo on the paper (and also her thesis work 😊). Congrats!

How to trigger age-related features in hPSC neurons? In a CRISPR screen Nathalie Saurat identified neddylation inhibition as a tool to trigger hallmarks of aging in neurons and selective degeneration in AD or PD but not isogenic control neurons. @cellstemcell bit.ly/3XBxCsA

Super excited to see this study finally published after many years of work. Congrats to Nathalie Saurat for the heroic effort and to all the many amazing collaborators who made this work possible. Also big thanks to our funders particularly the JPB foundation, NIA and Aligning Science Across Parkinson’s.

Excellent thread from Shen-Ying Zhang on this new collaborative story, and for our lab one of the first studies to test run new hindbrain neuron protocol developed by @harschnitz

Excited to see the work published nature. Excellent summary in thread below. Big collaborative effort with Shen-Ying Zhang, Casanova Lab + many more. Special thanks to Yi-Hao Chan Lab, Zhiyong Liu, Paul Bastard and in my lab Noopur Khobrekar, Param Amin, Gabriele Ciceri & @harschnitz

Exciting opportunity for open tenure track positions in Developmental Biology & Stem Cell Biology Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (see Ad - go.nature.com/3yOv8gx). Deadline for applications is October 14, 2024 (facultysearch.ski.edu)

Congratulations to Dr. Shuibing Chen (Shuibing Chen) on her lab's new Cell Stem Cell paper! Her team developed vascularized macrophage-islet #organoids to study damage from infection. Read the article: bit.ly/4gqAcJ1 Learn more about her work 👇 bit.ly/3MuyPex

This was a great episode indeed. Congrats to Stefan Irion and Viviane Tabar

Excited to share the latest work from my lab and Emily Wong led by Daniel Medina Cano Tarek Veronika Petrova. We developed a new protocol to generate mouse cortical organoids from pluripotent stem cells.
