988 is a lifeline for people in crisis—and the Trump administration is cutting the services that specifically help LGBTQ+ youth. It's disgusting and cruel to cut these services for LGBTQ+ youth whose rights are being threatened everyday. LA County must step up to fill this need.

Thinking about John Lewis, who we lost 5 years ago today. When I served with him in Congress, we got into "good trouble" at a sit-in on the House floor, calling for commonsense gun legislation after the horrific Pulse nightclub shooting. His legacy of good trouble lives on.

Today we marked 70 years of Hahn family memories at Disneyland Resort. My parents took my brother and me to opening day—and today we saw the scroll the Board of Supervisors, including my dad, presented for their “tencennial.” This time, we presented the scroll. Congrats, Disneyland!

Every Purple Heart recipient has endured what most cannot imagine. They have borne wounds in defense of this country – physical, emotional, and spiritual. Today, ahead of Purple Heart Day on August 7th, I had the honor of recognizing 15 of these heroes at our Board meeting. 💜
