The MetroHealth Events Medicine and Sports Medicine teams collaborated with Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals to provide medical coverage for the event. Representing 70 nationalities, Masters athletes are designated as 30 years or older, with some competitors being over 100.

The Events Medicine team is no stranger to providing care for major events. In addition to several smaller community events, the team provided care at Cuyahoga Valley National Park's total solar eclipse celebration and the Cleveland Juneteenth Freedom Fest.
