Dr Tanya Dame Jane Dacre We’ve done a study of 440 surgical trainees in the uk Pregnancy and parenthood in surgical training. Around half delayed having children, and 80% of those that delayed regretted their decision. There may never be a good time with work, do what’s right for you.

What an eye opening study. Reading it leaves me feeling sad and with many more questions. How about non-surgical specialties and how can we shine a brighter light on this? Occupational exposure quite similar in #anaesthetics Sethina Watson @rosieICM @Anaes_Trainees
