This is not a butterfly but a rather beautiful Moth I snapped today at Hutchinson's Bank in Surrey! It's an Orange Beauty (Commophila aeneana) & rather scarce in UK! The Larvae feed on roots of Ragwort. Enjoy! RSPB NatureUK British Moths Surrey Moths BBC Springwatch
