A nature filled evening with a bat walk for a local Girlguiding group, then over to Tolworth Court Farm for a night of Moth surveying with Paul from Surrey Moths! We had 26 species flying, not inc all the leaf miners we found. Only nature can craft the beauty on display! (1/4)

Felt very mothy last night so stuck the trap out. This Vestal was the stand out highlight. A first for my tiny suburban garden in Surbiton. Surrey Moths

This is not a butterfly but a rather beautiful Moth I snapped today at Hutchinson's Bank in Surrey! It's an Orange Beauty (Commophila aeneana) & rather scarce in UK! The Larvae feed on roots of Ragwort. Enjoy! RSPB NatureUK British Moths Surrey Moths BBC Springwatch
