I love the game of softball. Every game is a complex mathematical problem with odds that change with every inning, pitch, count, run, and score. My favorite players are the ones who are understand this problem and leverage the odds to give their team the best chance! #PlaySmart

Strikeout, groundout, flyout… all outs. Unless the game situation calls for putting the ball in play, get a pitch you can drive and do damage.

Emotion is fun. It’s fun to say the team with the most energy will win. However, the most prepared team usually wins. Some believe energy equals winning. I believe winning equals energy.

No better easy learning experience than stat cast on Sunday night baseball. If you aren’t using some kind of data to improve your game or your team, it’s just silly.

While tournaments take 100s of teams and make who knows how much, maybe don’t be surprised when the umpire working 8 games a day misses a call here or there. There aren’t even enough college level umpires to work college games, let alone the 17 tournaments going on in your state.
