Professor Andrew Tettenborn appeared on TalkTV this morning to discuss the legal and insurance implications of the North Sea tanker collision with Julia Hartley-Brewer.

It is hard to predict at this stage but it is possible that insured losses (hull, cargo, P & I liability) from the collision between the Stena Immaculate (fuel tanker) and MV Solong (cargo ship) could reach $300M.

Another brilliant guest lecture from Annie Stow representing the International Group of P&I Clubs on the role of Clubs and IG Group in Shipping. Annie is a qualified lawyer who focuses on the Group’s Education Committee. This was a well attended and an interesting one!!
