I want to include a few Indian titles like Annayum Rasoolam (2013) as well as Lou Ye’s Suzhou River (2000) but this goddamn thing doesn’t have them in its database. Nevertheless, I’d be happy to watch these films anytime, anywhere… #NYTimes

Time Out (2001) and The Adversary (2002) Two French psychological dramas inspired by the same real-life man whose dual life went terribly went out of control. Former opts for a meditative analysis whereas the latter gets lost in its own complexity. I'd highly recommend Time Out

This has got to be one of the coolest film posters ever? The film came out in 1957 and everything about it was way, way ahead of its time. I wonder if this served as some kind of an inspiration to Chris Nolan for his short ‘Doodlebug’.

Wrote about BHEEMARAO's #HebbuliCut. This is a film filled with nuance and simplicity, and despite the complex questions it tackles, it never resorts to overt commentary. Just a serious film, told with heart and humour. indianexpress.com/article/entert…

Wanna ask the indian audience like don’t yall actually get tired of this? Slow motion shots of explosions, bloodbaths, heroes covered in blood smoking cigarettes, cringe-worthy dialogues, actresses roles always insignificant, mar-tod, dishoom dishoom, same fkn shit every movie.

Keith Gordon, the kid from De Palma's 'Dressed to Kill', went on to be a bloody good filmmaker. His debut - a rather pensive yet fun drama set in a fictional boys school titled 'The Chocolate War' - is an '80s film that is rarely spoken about, but is sure to have inspired many.

The Rohith Vemula Bill in Karnataka is a historic step against institutional caste discrimination. By making such offences non-bailable & cognisable, it honors Rohith’s legacy & protects marginalized students. A victory for social justice! ✊🏾 #RohithVemulaBill #JaiBhim

I think if this one was imagined as an animation film for kids, with all the fanaticism/bias removed, it would have been 10x more enjoyable. Problem now is they have made a kids (juvenile) film thinking it is for adults.

What’s not to like about #SuFromSo! It’s funny, silly, boozy, charming, endearing, and also a little emotional in the right kind of way. I think we finally have a winner here. lighterbuddha films Raj B Shetty #JPThuminad #ShaneelGautham thenewsminute.com/amp/story/flix…

#JaspritBumrah is in dire need of a bowling partner, and unfortunately Siraj is just not the guy. Siraj is patchy and unpredictable but Bumrah needs surety, else he will only grow impatient - and we are already seeing major signs of it. #INDvsENG

"Slowly, I realized realism in cinema is not the same as realism in life. Cinema has its own realism. The world in cinema is not the real world. It has been crafted. That makes cinema interesting. It's not real. It's closer to dreams. If you treat life as a dream, you can

I'd like to see #Bumrah steaming in and proudly telling #harrybrook and #BenStokes "this is how you bowl" in a professional test match, that people have PAID to watch. Tall wish, I know, but that would close this series on the right kind of high.

Shame on you. Calling this scamster and charlatan into your supposed "hallowed grounds." Act responsibly, embrace scientific temper for a change. Strange as it may seem, no amount of learning can cure stupidity, and formal education positively fortifies it - Stephen Vizinczey

I wish #Kingdom was a lot more contained and intimate than what I saw. Also, it’s time filmmakers let go of unnecessary audience pressures and regain the old narrative clarity. Aches to see film after film not know what they are about. More in the review: indianexpress.com/article/entert…
