BREAKING: Stephen Colbert just demolished main stream media for their hypocrisy in how they are covering President Biden’s every word and completely ignoring anything Donald Trump says. Retweet so every American knows main stream media has lost its way. x.com/DreamAmerica_/…

And just like that, with a few clicks of the delete button, Labour ends the de-facto ban on on-shore wind projects. gov.uk/government/pub…

We suggest a distinction between covering something (NYT does great reporting on Trump's autocratic plans), and *crusading.* The latter is wholly different: It uses saturation coverage to alert readers that they should be alarmed. That's just not happening w/r/t Trump's unfitness

NY Times: You thought this election might be about an unprecedented convicted criminal running to overthrow Constitutional democracy? You think you decide the narrative? Oh no. That’s our turf. And we say the most important thing in the election—nay, the world—is Joe Biden’s age.

Maybe if the media covered President Biden's unscripted moments & interviews, leading Democrats would know about them. Biden's schedule would wreck someone half his age. Or a novel idea, have their staff tell them like they always know what donors & lobbyists are saying.

Some on the Left are going to demand Joe Biden step down all the way to November and if he ends up losing by a minuscule amount—will fail to realize they will have been that margin. This is the wrong fight.

Right-wing hubris and/or desperately trying to keep the base in line led them to put out Project 2025, but it's political suicide. Nobody made them do this, now it's up to us to make them pay for their unforced error.

Biden & the Dems have engineered a massive, miraculous turnaround for precisely the parts of the country hardest hit by globalization. No one cares. No one even *knows*. They get no credit for it, no acknowledgement, no political boost, nothing. Healthy system.

The media is trying with zero evidence to create a Biden is in cognitive decline story. He's done 18 public events & appearances since the debate. In June, he was in France & Italy, 15 US states & did 21 public events. In May, he had 44 events & was in 16 states.

1) When Trump was first elected, he lacked confidence, and surrounded himself with more experienced people who were willing tell him no. Eventually either they quit or he fired them. He sees them now as traitors, and has surrounded himself with sycophants competing for his favor.

2) Initially, Trump (like any President) figured that if he really stepped over the line, Congress might impeach him, or his party might abandon him. He now knows that there is virtually nothing he could do that would cause them to do this.

3) Trump did try to do a number of things that tasted the guardrails in his first term. He used foreign aid to try to extort campaign favors. He encouraged a mob of people to march on the Capitol, to overturn an election he lost. He took government documents as if they were his.

Ever since the New Deal, conservatives have dreamed of dismantling the machinery of US federal government. It's a wildly unpopular agenda, and yet the US people are about to vote for it because they're completely ignorant about it & no one is educating them.

What the last week and a half has taught everyone with eyes to see and ears to hear is a press beholden to profit can never be free or objective. Biden is bad for the business of the news. His administration has been hugely focused, successful, and free of scandal or leaks. 1/
