Interested in CRISPRi in iPSCs and derived cell types? Together with Allen Institute & WardLab, we generated a highly characterized, publicly available line. Big thanks to Kun Leng, Nina Draeger, Olivia Teter, Syd Sattler & others in the @kampmannlab! tinyurl.com/y6fgqvnj

Thrilled to share our preprint "A CRISPRi/a platform in iPSC-derived #microglia uncovers regulators of disease states"!Collaboration with Gan Lab, led by Kampmann Lab Nina Draeger & Syd Sattler and Gan Lab Cindy Huang 1/3 biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Excited to share our new preprint! In research led by Brendan Rooney & Kun Leng in the Kampmann Lab, we found that in inflammatory astrocytes, mTOR signaling causes lysosomes to be remodeled, deacidified and exocytosed, causing neurotoxicity. (1/2) biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Big thanks to all additional contributors: Kampmann Lab Indigo Rose, Saeed Fathi; Chan Zuckerberg Biohub Network Frank McCarthy, Josh Elias, Sophie Bax, Manuel Leonetti; @UCSF_Biochem Kari Herrington; UCSF MAC Marcus Chin, @aimee_kao. … and here’s an astrocyte caught in the act: (2/2)

It’s out! Our Nature Neuroscience paper introducing an iPSC-Microglia protocol and screening platform that identifies modulators of microglia functions and states: “A CRISPRi/a platform in iPSC-derived microglia uncovers regulators of disease states.” nature.com/articles/s4159… 🧵(1/15)

Absolutely thrilled to share mine and Troy McDiarmid’s work describing the development of a multiplexed, scalable CRISPRa cell type-specific screening framework that is able to identify…(1/n) biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Incredibly honored to have received a Curci Fellowship! Shout out to my dept and lab Phil Abitua 🧬 for all of the support :)

New blog post in our "Emerging, Uncommon, and Non-model Organisms" series! Huge thanks to Syd Sattler for contributing on her work with killifish ascb.org/science-news/e…
