I'm really excited to announce that our brand new MRes in Advanced Artificial Intelligence is now available on the University of Sussex website sussex.ac.uk/study/masters/…! This course offers research focused training in how to be an effective and responsible AI scientist or engineer.

New paper nature.com/articles/s4146… Great work by Federico Bolaños, Javier Orlandi and our collaborators at Stanford Psychology, Akshay Jagadeesh and Justin Gardner

Postdoc open in my lab at SussexNeuro in wonderful Brighton to investigate neural activity in mice during goal-directed whisker-guided behaviour. 2-photon imaging and/or computational analysis. DM, or email [email protected]

A new paper from our lab links human perception to retinal circuit function at the sensitivity limit of vision. It is freshly published @naturecomms: nature.com/articles/s4146…. Life Sciences University of Helsinki University of Helsinki Aalto University #QuantalBehavior

Neuroscience postdoc. Flow of information controlling visually-driven behavior. Fluorescent reporters//imaging/behaviour/modelling/zebrafish. Focus on synaptic coding + factors modulating visual circuits to impact behavior. Interested? tinyurl.com/32hfxx6z Zebrafish Rock!

Excited to share my new paper (with Prof Aman Saleem and @FabioRibRod): nature.com/articles/s4146… Interested in: - neural population dynamics? - neural correlations? - sub-second timescale neural encoding? - state-dependent sensory processing? 🧵and tl;dr👇

Our paper📝“Top-down modulation of the retinal code via histaminergic neurons of the hypothalamus” is now available in Science Advances! Dive in to find out how histaminergic neurons in the brain🧠modulate activity of retinal neurons in mice🐭and humans😎. doi.org/10.1126/sciadv…

INSS Bruno Pichler Angelos Loukidis We are now seeking a postdoc interested in using 2P imaging to investigate the neural circuits of spatial orientation: jobs.cam.ac.uk/job/41054/

The #retina, like other brain circuits, is under modulatory control. Patricio Simoes and José Moya Díaz show that "Substance P and dopamine form a “push-pull” system that diurnally regulates retinal gain". tinyurl.com/258vvkfj. Current Biology #zebrafish #neuroscience 👇1/

Thank you so much for this award! I am very touched and humbled, as I feel I have learned at least as much from my mentees as they have learned from me. Thank you WiNUK: Women in Neuroscience UK 🧠 for all the amazing work you are doing!
