We’ve got quite the buzz in the room as our Fall 2022 Syracuse Abroad students arrive for orientation to kick off the semester…and are challenged by Dr Gordon to correctly identify British clothing words.


2000+ years of history is being uncovered during our kick-off Jill Curran Memorial Tour for the Syracuse Abroad Fall 2022 semester. On our first stop, students are learning about the Roman history of Londonium from our favourite #BlueBadge Guide Dominic Dominic Burris-North


Hello from the River Thames! Syracuse Abroad students took a boat trip to the maritime village of Greenwich today. We got to straddle two hemispheres and take panoramic photos from the park after we browsed around Royal Museums Greenwich and toured Uni of Greenwich. Not a bad Sunday!

Students from Syracuse University and Wake Forest University spent Tuesday morning volunteering at Calthorpe Community Garden. In the 1980s, the local community saved a lot from becoming commercial space, and transformed it into a green oasis. They now use gardening to engage marginalised communities. Thank you!!

Our Lender Global Symposium on #ClimateJustice for #EarthDay is underway! Syracuse University students abroad have been exploring the environmental impacts of travel, and how they can best maximise their international learning while caring for our incredible Planet.


A big thanks to Churchill Archives Centre and Cherish Watton-Colbrook for hosting undergraduate interns at the Churchill Archive Centre during their class visit to Cambridge. We saw so many cool things, from a Nobel Prize to Margaret Thatcher’s iconic handbag.
