Dull, dull, dull. Not entirely the fault of the knitters or even the young knitting Gladiator, although the two judges were awful…no, it’s just knitting against the clock is just tedious, unfulfilling and mean. #gameofwool

I'm really enjoying this new knitting competition show although it is giving me ptsd from when I had my own knitting biz. Phrases like 'picking up stitches' and 'sewing the ends in' are bringing back very bad memories 🤣 #gameofwool
Absolutely loved #GameOfWool, no clues about fair isle knitting way too high brow for me, the concept fantastic and sad poor Brian out, at least his went over Tom’s head! Can’t wait til next week 🧶 ❤️

c H i @ Why did they cast off the lively guy who knows his fair isle, rather than the one who's never knitted a garment & made a doll size tank top? Gordon also knitted about an acre of sand so should have scored team points, though how the teamwork is scored is a mystery. #Gameofwool
Kazzie Yes, the judges were lacklustre, & one didn't do much for her cred by wearing the ugliest baggy orange cardi. The team event seems designed to create friction & the prog badly needs some bants. Did they really get them to knit for 12 hours straight at one sitting? #Gameofwool
Gosh this speed knitting is too much. Do they know how much damage they can do to their hands? Carpel tunnel, RSA, tenosynivitis, #gameofwool I thought they would go away having knitted something and bring it back.
Last night I watched the first ep of #GameOfWool (is it a pun?) on Channel 4 with dead ‘Faithful’ Tom Daley. 10 knitters in a #YarnBarn wanting to be named Britain’s Best Knitter. The first challenge is a Fair Isle tank top in TWELVE hours. A hobby competitive show too far? 7/10
