Stunning artwork by Ghanaian artist El Anatsui both inside and outside Talbot Rice Gallery. Scottish Mission Book Depot Keta is a fascinating visualisation of Edinburgh and the material legacies of Presbyterian mission. Worth reflection as artistic exploration of reverse mission

Recommend the free El Anatsui exhibition at Talbot Rice Gallery. Loved the description of his works as "sensuous abstraction". It's all beautiful but I loved how Kente Rhapsody here played with my perception of light and movement.

Any art buffs in Edinburgh in the near future, the El Anatsui exhibition at the Talbot Rice is highly recommended. Colossal wall hangings sewn from bottle caps and liquor tins, amongst other things. The one in the University courtyard is astounding. trg.ed.ac.uk/exhibition/el-…

caro turnbull-hall 🇺🇦 Heather Self Edinburgh International Festival Edinburgh Festival Fringe I didn't fit in the Lavery though have previously enjoyed his work when visiting my sister in Ireland. Did you catch the glowing review of Scottish Mission Book Depot Keta in The Observer's coverage of Edinburgh Art Festival last weekend? We’ve loved celebrating EAF’s 20th birthday and there are plenty more incredible events coming up ✨ 🔗 Review at theguardian.com/artanddesign/a…

Stunning exhibition during the Festival and beyond by El Anatsui at Edinburgh’s Talbot Rice gallery and the old Quad. Includes a site specific piece inspired by books and materials from the Scottish Mission in Ghana when he was a child.

Team meetings with a view 😍 Feel free to borrow a mat from the chest (next to our monoliths at Old College), sit on the lawn and soak up those rays away from the hustle and bustle 🌞 → Find out more about El Anatsui / Scottish Mission Book Depot Keta via the link in our bio
