It was lovely to have the chance to meet with Rosamund Adoo-KD CBE FBSA today with other local clean air activists as part of her preparatory work before she meets with Andy Burnham to lobby him to do more to clean up the air across GM

Great to see Afzal Khan MP still championing the need for clear air

Celebrating all the work the group has done taking place in the garden at Ashville Surgery. We presented 200 postcards to Angeliki Stogia from local residents asking Manchester City Council for more to be done to clean up our air

⚠️ Children are most vulnerable to the effects of toxic air, which can damage their health for the rest of their lives. We’re supporting Asthma + Lung UK and taking a stand to protect our children’s lungs. You can sign here too: bit.ly/3ASIQ2n #ToxicAirPlaygrounds

It's been a year since we met with Mayor of Greater Manchester to ask for more to be done to clean up the air in GM. Since then pollution levels have increased and we're still no nearer to having a GM plan to reduce them any time soon.

For our Active Travel coffee morning, our children wrote and performed a play on the importance of walking to school. Our Walking Buses are back on in 2025 thanks to our caring parent volunteers so please join us every Friday! Let's Talk Clean Air in Whalley Range #cleanair #saferstreets

Greater Manchester's Clean Air Plan has been approved by Defra. It does not go anywhere near far enough. Please share our joint statement with Friends of the Earth Manchester, Mums For Lungs, Asthma + Lung UK and Let's Talk Clean Air in Whalley Range: letmanchesterbreathe.org/news/coalition…

We're disappointed to hear that the government has approved GM's unambitous & risky Clean Air Plan which may possibly achieve UK compliance for NO2 levels by 2027 (2 X as high as targets for EU and 4 X higher than World Health Organization (WHO) targets). We have been keen for Andy Burnham to publically speak out about the link between health and air pollution for a while so great to see he has committed to do this!
