It's #HPVAwarenessDay. The option for women to participate in cervical screening via a self-collected sample that tests for HPV is an incredible step forward in technology, comfort and control. Ask your doctor if this is a good option for you.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women are more likely to be diagnosed with, and pass away from, cervical cancer relative to other Australian women. HPV vaccination can help prevent cervical cancer and keep mob healthy later in life! #HPVAwarenessDay bit.ly/3bXgKmw

Our paper shows that elimination of cervical cancer is not on track for Indigenous women around the world. Racialised health inequities and systemic failures to provide appropriate care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women must be addressed.
