really interesting piece of careful historic seismology by @quakedetective, relocating one of eastern Australia's largest recorded earthquakes the ~M6.0 Bundaberg event. Incredibly useful for hazard studies to have an improved location, magnitude, and intensity values

Today’s M4.8 earthquake in NSW occurred on the eastern margin of the Sydney Basin, which is bound by the ancient (~300 Myr) Hunter-Mooki Fault. EarthquakesGA focal mechanism suggests the source fault is either a near-vertical ~N-S fault, or a NW-SE aligned NE dipping fault.
