Under extreme circumstances, Belarusians stand up for their rights and freedom. On Belarus Freedom Day, we reiterate the EU’s solidarity and commitment to continue to support the Belarusian people and to work for a democratic, independent and #FreeBelarus.

This weekend Belarus celebrated Freedom Day. It’s only allowed for Belarusians outside the country as it’s banned by the regime. Thousands of Belarusians across the globe celebrated 105 years of Belarusian Independence. One day we’ll celebrate it back home when Belarus is free.

I understand the Lithuanian deputies' concern about security issues. But restrictions for Belarusians in obtaining visas and residence permits is not an ideal measure. I am for a solution that respects Lithuanian interests and protects the democratically oriented Belarusians.

President Trump’s strong leadership led to the release of 14 prisoners from Belarus today. Thanks to the Lithuanian government for its cooperation and assistance - they remain a true friend and ally.

Moved by the press conference of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya. Siarhey is physically worn, but not defeated. It reminded me of my husband’s release: joy, pain and long recovery needed. His health was irreversibly damaged by a stroke in prison. Freedom for all political prisoners. #FreeBelarus
