To mark TAPA’s 25th Anniversary in the #EMEA region, our opening Keynote presentation today came from Adrian Whelan, SVP, Head of Global Security, DHL Express, as he discussed DHL’s approach to #supplychain #security and the importance of its relationship with #TAPA.

Next up was the TAPA EMEA AGM, including news of the Association’s plans to deliver a fair, equal, and aligned #membership offering to provide the best solution for companies of all sizes that are part of the TAPA EMEA Family, and those thinking of joining in the future.

In today's #supplychain, securing #cargo effectively while managing costs is a challenging act. Companies need to look to transition from ‘security as a cost centre’ to ‘security as a business accelerator’. That was the vision behind Amazon’s Ivca Kaiserova’s presentation.

We were just joined live on stage in #Düsseldorf by Kat Henn, UK Home Office Intelligence & Tom Torensma, Dutch National Police, to explain the cooperation between the 2 countries & their mission to tackle criminal interference within the #haulage & #logistics sector.

In our third session this morning, we were joined by Manuel Bohé & Lukas Sokefeld who demonstrated a live GPS hacking of a #transport delivery and discussed real-world attacks and how cybercriminals are able to exploit vulnerabilities in everyday technology.

We have just been joined by Filip, who reiterated the European Commission’s pledge to support joint initiatives to increase the attractiveness of safe parkings and the wellbeing of drivers, which will help the road haulage market to attract new talent and reduce driver scarcity.

Key topics discussed by our #insurance panel kicking off the afternoon of Day 2 at our Annual Conference in #Düsseldorf ranged from emerging threats and tariffs to fake carriers, CMR liabilities, and sharing incident data with TAPA EMEA. Thanks to all our panellists!
