If writing matters to you, act like it. Carve out time for it. Make it sacred. And sit down at the page. Doesn't matter if it's only a few words, a few sentences, or pages, just write. #writingcommunity

A hard thing about writing is giving up control. Realizing you aren't in control, and being okay with that. Characters, when they come alive, aren't always going to do what you thought they would, planned they would, or what you think they should. #writingcommunity

Writing is a mixture of total control and no control at all. The idea is yours. Deciding to write is on you. And writing the story means giving up control to your characters. #writingcommunity

If you don't like your characters, or how the story is turning out, chances are your readers won't either. Write what captivates you. #writingcommunity

Finishing up another book in the next few days. 6th contracted novel completed this year. I'm a panster. Disciplined. I love to write. And know that I need to do so to stay emotionally healthy. I was given a gift; I accepted and do my best to live up to it. #WritingCommunity

Just back from a week of writer events and publisher meetings. I'm exhausted and exhilarated at the same time. And, as always, the story calls. It takes my overwhelmed emotions and uses them for good. #writingcommunity
