Today we concluded the 4th & last meeting of MSI-SLP, a Council of Europe committee tasked to draft the first ever CoE Anti-SLAPP recommendation. I have had the honour to be one of the co-rapporteurs/drafters with one of Europe's best media freedom and FoX expert Tarlach McGonagle

After 4 meetings & 2 years of mandate, we submitted to the secretariat the final version of the draft recommendation (subject to edits). Now it is up to CDMSI and CM to adopt it.

If the recommendation is approved in its current form, this CoE instrument will create the highest standards in Europe on protection of SLAPP targets and victims. I hope for a positive result.
