New Episode! ASML! The $274B "relatively obscure Dutch company" responsible for the world's most innovative chips. How does the company that builds the machine that fits 15 billion transistors onto something the size of my fingernail innovate and operate? Today, on the pod!

People aren't talking enough about Charlie Munger's essay "On Worldly Wisdom" as it applies to biz adopting AI. "There are all kinds of wonderful new inventions that give you nothing as owners except the opportunity to spend money in a business that’s still going to be lousy."

Something special about seeing sharp minds work through ideas together in the comments. Makes me wish more internal discussions were public. Thoughtful group discussion >>> sanitized narratives

I think Estée Lauder’s 1940s approach represents the future of commerce. She thought consumer products should be hand *sold* instead of *marketed* which evokes the potential of LLM based experiences like Perplexity shopping. Lots of alpha in the OG Estée story. 😁

it's 2025, we almost have AGI, mass labor displacement by deep research is imminent, and STILL Google will not pick the right account to access the document someone shared with me. nobody is solving my problems!

all I want to do is to use folksy catchphrases about rain like a grizzled old sailor: "it's bucketing down!" "it's a real frog strangler!" “it's so wet, the fish are moving back in.”

there's this great article about Stripe Billing that came out in Fortune today, where you can really see the difference between a John Collison vs. Seshan quality analogy. product quality comes with sacrifices, ok?!
