Pinch hit MICU/Covid nights (not this future rheumatologist’s ‘thing’). Hard to be nervous with @kylestinehart ‘s support and so many co-residents offering help Patrick Sylvester Scott Cardone twitterless Diveysh and Grant. Beyond thankful and proud to be a part of Ohio State Internal Medicine Residency !

1. Medical education, rheumatology 2. We can’t save every patient, but we can help every patient (and also, the healing powers of Flonase, Miralax, and GI cocktails) 3. Jessica Sharpe @skorada1234 Molly Silkowski, DO

An exchange at an appt this AM: ‘Are you heading to work after this?’ ‘Yep.’ ‘Where do you work?’ ‘At the hospital.’ ‘Oh are you a doctor?’ I graduated from medical school 1,162 days ago. Today was the first time I was ‘assumed’ to be a doctor. #WomenInMedicine

Hands down the best 2 weeks of Chief year to date! Constantly in awe of our fantastic residents Ohio State Internal Medicine Residency for their patient care, work ethic, teaching, knowledge, and all-around being a good-person-ness. (Looking at you Sankalp Malhotra, MD, PhD and Jarod Speer!)

My favorite “Rheumatology Secrets and Pearls” from #ACR22 1. Uveitis is a symptom, not a diagnosis. 2. Normal complements do not equal inactive SLE in pregnancy. 3. Monitor for side effects of PPIs in patients with SSc. An awesome session by Drs. Stone and Kolfenbach!

I first met alexa meara when I was an M1 at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. I thought she was cool. And she thought rheumatology was cool. 8 years later, I’m four months into my fellowship at #cleclinicrheum! Never underestimate the power of 💪🏼 female mentorship! #ACR22
