I had a sneak peek at this, and this approach from Stuart Pryke has genuinely revolutionised how my students are approaching structuring their essays, and most importantly how they are creating effective thesis statements. There’s more new ideas here that I can’t wait to go back and

If you scroll through Zelenskyy’s feed you will see the leaders of over 30 countries declaring their support for Ukraine since Trump’s Oval Office tantrum. How embarrassing, that Donald Trump’s actions have put us in opposition to the free, democratic nations of the world.

Nodding a LOT at Gaurav Dubay’s session. A passionate and thorough look at why identifying concerns with reading early, and providing a framework of approaches, is vital in supporting reading. #TTRConnect

I always love hearing from Becky Wood - ideas I can implement on Monday that I KNOW will help my students. I love this approach to tethering good vocabulary to literature texts. #TTRConnect

Inspired by Mr P and his Teachers Talk Radio keynote, I’ve spent the morning playing around with Notebook LM which turns notes into AI podcasts. I uploaded a lesson to see what it made- this is great and could be really powerful for revision if used correctly. Here’s the lesson

Ausubel's subsumption theory has been likened to boxes or planets but wouldn't a building be more appropriate given the foundations are laid first and you slowly add intricacy to the structure over time? Any other analogies welcome...Sarah Cottinghatt David Didau Amy Staniforth

NEW ‘Power and Conflict - The Interpretations’ revision booklet. I always get my students to consider 3 interpretations of each poem and ask them to consider which they agree with the most. It’s a great springboard for debate and considering new ideas. I have collated these into

I had the absolute pleasure this evening to watch our GCSE Drama class perform their scripted exam. What a bunch of brilliant young people, who were in their element. A lovely reminder on the cusp of the Easter holidays why the work we do, matters. A joy of an evening.

Finally watched Adolescence. The world’s given its take and here’s my microscopic contribution: the school in episode 2 is entirely plausible. Writing its depiction off as an ‘insult’ to teachers is tribal. I’ve seen many schools with this decaying level of culture. What

Jumping on the AI action figure bandwagon! I'm increasingly finding AI so valuable for work... but also how clever is it that it can do things like this?!

In Japanese, "tsundoku" means collecting books and letting them pile up, not for neglect, but for the joy of knowing they're there, full of untold stories.
