Our last on-campus today together in 3️⃣rd grade! We took a gallery walk of our classes pizza fraction projects, then students spent time with their classmates by playing board games together! I’m sure going to miss these kiddos 💙

A closer look at student’s hard work on their pizza fractions project 🍕 3rd graders personalized pizza’s with toppings that they converted into fractions, then created a word problem. They used their creative skills to design their very own pizza logos! 👏🏼

Year✌🏼, it’s a wrap! You know it’s been a great school year when the 1st day of school feels like yesterday. I am so fortunate to work at a school where our focus is the kids strengths & passions and what’s best for them. Our school may be small, but our goals & dreams are BIG!💙

6th grades Mesopotamian journey so far! Students have traveled through caves, created cave art, learned about Sumerian city states and the Sumerian written language, cuneiform! They created their own clay tablets and wrote their name using the cuneiform alphabet. Fun & engaging!

6th graders have been learning about thermal energy in science, so they designed and created their very own solar ovens! They placed their ovens in direct sunlight and tested them by cooking s’mores and tracking the temperature. It was a solar success! ☀️

6th grade teaching us all and blowing our minds. Did you know about the exosphere? I did not. Such a rad display of inquiry and pushing us all further. Now to mount this as an art installation somewhere in the school! 🔥❤️Connect Academy PUSD Stephanie Shabsin

Hands on, thoughtfully designed plant and animal cells! Shout out to 6th gr teacher Stephanie Shabsin for seeing a different way to learn about specific organelles and their functions. It’s not interesting to label a wksheet, but fascinating to see how a cell connects to living!
