He was holding a butter knife. Distressed and confused due to an infection in his lower leg. 92 years old. What on earth were these police officers thinking? They easily could’ve removed the flipping butter knife from the man. Good lord. His death was entirely avoidable.

Newsflash: Signing a Department for Education staff wellbeing charter will not suddenly improve staff wellbeing, recruitment or retention. The pressures and expectations of schools and school staff are too high and the support is too little. Fundamental change is needed.

Pupils will not have the words to say what is bothering them, or how they feel in a state of stress or a brain flooded with emotions & overwhelmed, it will usually show up through changes in their behaviour. They will show you before they tell you how they feel.🧠🌱
