نشر بالأمس مقالي مع The Tahrir Institute for Middle East Policy عن مشروع الحكومة بشأن الإيجار القديم والإصرار على الانحياز لأحد طرفي العلاقة (ظاهريا) وانعكاس ذلك على الحق في السكن مستقبلا

Great watching Joy Reid eviscerate this bigoted ahistorical delusion that every negative feeling towards the US government is because “they” are irrational freedom-hating extremists. Reid details how the US overthrew electoral democracy in Iran and installed a brutal dictator.

Remember when they used to lie & pretend they just wanted “legal” migrants or “highly skilled” migrants? Mamdani’s parents are both professors at Columbia university. His mother, Mira Nair, is a renowned film director Miller is just a bigot who hates specific shades of migrants

While we were organizing crowds, the sectarian political class was preserving their networks through clientelism, keeping their party machines oiled & active," says Alaa Sayeg - علاء الصايغ.

As the EU fails to even suspend Israel from the association agreement as it's legally required to do under the circumstances, Israeli soldiers report they're being ordered to deliberately fire live ammunition, mortars & grenades directly into crowds as a form of "crowd control"

The Haaretz report this thread cites is horrifying. It's a series of Israeli soldiers reporting endless war crimes in which troops were regularly ordered to fire live ammunition & mortars at civilians who posed no threat simply to indicate when aid centers were open or closed.

It's wildly unlikely that NATO members will hit their 5% of GDP spending targets, but by the time they're meant to Trump will have left office. Same with Saudi promising $1 trillion in US investments. These are often empty pledges for vacuous headlines that defuse Trump's threats

Update: 71 killed, detainees, people living in the area, staff, soldiers, people waiting to visit love ones. Families were in agony for days unable to contact parents, children, sisters ... to learn if they survived, including members of the Baha'i community, people I know. #Iran
