If Mastodon/Fediverse had better onboarding and clearer UI Twitter would be toast by now. Browsing on here I see lots of people understandably switched off by the complexity and confusing decisions to make when you have no idea what is what.

It's nice that Omar Rivero says he won't sell TRIBEL NO FAKE 100%, but that's not enough. Our democracy and public spaces should not be dependent on a benevolent dictator. Tribel is a closed source walled garden that sends your data to google & facebook.

There was no vision shared with us. No 5 year plan like at Tesla. Nothing more than what anyone can see on Twitter. It allegedly is coming for those who stayed but the ask was blind faith and required signing away the severance offer before seeing it. Pure loyalty test.

@gordonbrander bluesky You obviously cant get away from large centralized servers for scaling reasons, but you can absolutely strip away their ability to do harm.
